A brief look back at the life and career of iconic actor and activist Louis Mahoney who sadly passed away in 2020. Largely funded through crowd-funding organised by the Screen Nation Foundation, friends, colleagues and family members pay tribute to the Gambian born actor who was heavily involved in improving the lives of actors with his work for the actors union, Equity and was a prominent and vociferous campaigner for equal rights, including leading the fight against apartheid in South Africa. His death during the Covid-19 pandemic disrupted efforts to commemorate his life in the manner it deserved, however this short film goes a little way in shedding some light on an extraordinary man who lived during extraordinary times while still managing to chalk up nearly 100 films in a 50 year career.
